Pai Organic Skin Care
Pai is an organic skin care range for people with sensitive skin. Many people look to organic skin care for the first time because they have developed a sensitivity or allergy to their existing skin care products.
Too often the choice is between unsophisticated organic balms in uninspiring packaging or ranges that claim to be natural, but are packed full of irritating chemicals and alcohol.
Pai is different. Our products are the cleanest on the market today and packaged for the aspirational customer. We are experts in sensitive skin - we leave out the chemicals that irritate us and only use premium-grade organic ingredients with proven skin-loving properties.
Our best sellers are the Chamomile & Rose Sensitive Skin Moisturiser, the Comfrey & Calendula Calming Body Cream and Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser.
Are Pai Products Suitable For YOU?
Pai are experts on sensitive skin.
All of their products are formulated with sensitive and allergy-prone skin in mind.
They carefully select ingredients with proven remedial and skin soothing properties and keep products free from irritating chemicals and alcohol. Unlike many brands on the market, which commission factories to both formulate and manufacture their products, Pai have their own in-house R&D lab and manufacturing facility. That means each and every Pai Skincare product is unique and the result of their own hard work, dedicated research and rigorous testing. Their professional team of formulation chemists are constantly sourcing and testing new natural-active ingredients so that they can develop high performance products without compromising on purity.

All Pai products are certified organic by the UK Soil Association.
If you have sensitive or reactive skin it is important to know exactly what is in a product, and that those ingredients are safe to use, uncontaminated by pesticides or solvents. The only way to be certain that a product is made from safe and natural ingredients is if it has passed rigorous third party certification by an organisation such as the Soil Association or the USDA (USA).
Far too many brands make natural and organic claims for their products that do not stand up to scrutiny. That is because there is no labelling regulation controlling the use of the words 'natural' and 'organic'. Companies can make these claims regardless of how few (if any) organic ingredients they use and how many chemicals they include in their formulations.
The Soil Association
The Soil Association is the trade organisation that regulates organic beauty accreditation in the UK. Certification is still voluntary and for manufacturers that apply it can be a time-intensive and costly exercise. The standard set by the Soil Association is that at least 70% of a beauty product's non-water ingredients must be organically grown and harvested.
* All organic ingredients must be sustainably grown (without the use of pesticides) and harvested.
* All organic ingredients must be extracted without chemical solvents.
* All non-organic ingredients must pass strict toxicity and biodegradability criteria and carry a Non-GM certificate.
* Products cannot contain parabens, petrochemicals, propylene glycol and other irritating and potentially toxic chemicals.
* Manufacturers have to pass annual inspections and keep detailed production records.
COSMOS (Cosmetic Organic Standard)
From 2014, the leading European organic cosmetics certification bodies are merging into COSMOS.
The rules are currently being harmonised and it is thought that Phenoxyethanol, one of the most widely used preservatives in natural and organic beauty products will be banned, forcing many companies to either reformulate, lose their organic certification standard, or switch to a more lax standard.
